I joined Capgemini in 2013 as the global marketing lead for Enterprise Cloud Services after having worked with the company for many years as a partner at a software company. My decision to join Capgemini was due in large part to the people I had interacted with over the prior six to seven years and their true culture of people matter. This was evident to me as a partner and solidified as an employee. Capgemini encourages and expects each employee to share new ideas that benefit not only the company but also our employee's, clients and the communities we live in. There are many employee resource groups within the company and many opportunities for all of us to create and share in making a positive impact in our environments.

Strengthening our diversity and promoting a more inclusive culture is a top business priority, as we recognize its ability to move us forward in a competitive, increasingly culturally and globally diverse market. In the first ever report detailing our thee-year strategy, we overview how we’ve attained a more inclusive culture that’s allowed us to reach the following milestones:
  • From 2012 to 2013, the percentage of women promoted in our Application Services business unit increased nine percent.
  • From 2012 to 2014, overall retention for women in the U.S. increased by four percent.
  • In 2012 to 2014, the number of team members participating in ERGs more than quadrupled. We also doubled the number of ERGs, which now include military veterans, women, LGBTA, millennials, Hispanic/Latinos, East Asians, and African and African American areas of focus. We also have ERGs for community engagement, mentoring initiatives and employees with disabilities.
  • In 2014, total volunteer hours tripled over 2013.
  • In H2 2015, we saw a 12 percent gain in retention among team members that have completed unconscious bias training.
