Together: when a single word makes all the difference.

Ludovic Bourlau
Enterprise architect

"I've already been with Capgemini over ten years. I came from the banking sector and started here as an analyst and project manager. Since then, I've gravitated increasingly towards a strategic role. At the moment, I'm 'enterprise architect'. I'm involved particularly with preparing for IT projects and transforming departments. Over the years I've played my part in quite a few international projects, and my professional network now extends over Belgium, France, Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries."

"At Capgemini, I've had good opportunities for career development. Various career pathways are sketched out, and you can attend seminars and training-courses in order to develop down them. These are opportunities that are often not available in smaller firms. Capgemini has a strong market position, both within Belgium and internationally. The consultancy profession enables me to change my working environment regularly, which keeps you on the ball."

"We also have a 'global practice community' of system architects. This comprises around a thousand specialists who keep in contact and meet each other regularly - either face-to-face or virtually - to swap information. In addition, we have our local community of forty people, for whom I regularly arrange 'knowledge-sharing sessions'."

"There are numerous opportunities to attend training-courses. For these, we have Capgemini University in Paris. Three or four times a year we hold 'Architect Weeks' there, at which our consultants are trained in Capgemini's 'architecture methodology'. We call this methodology the Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF). They facilitate good communications between all consultants, as thanks to this methodology we now all use the same terminology. You find that at Capgemini you have an abundance of material in which to immerse yourself."
