Capgemini sends Young Professionals to Rome
Three of our Young Professionals moved to Rome in July as part of an Exhange Program between Capgemini Belgium and Italy. Olivier Jaspers is working on a project for a multimedia concern, while Zohir El Khattabi and Ken Jeuris joined an international team that supports a European public organisation. After six months they will return to their homeland.
"The past few weeks have been very exciting", said Ken just before his departure. "Watiting for confirmation, getting information from Italy about the project and of course planning the move. I see this assignment as real challenge, an enriching professional and personal experience. I'd like to work as a team with people from a different cultural background, but of course I also want to improve my technical knowledge."
We spoke to Olivier Jaspers a couple of days after his arrival. "I was welcomed by a very enthusiastic team of colleagues", said the fresh expatriate. "Everybody is doing their best to overcome the language barrier. This is an opportunity to prove both my technical skills and my soft skills. Joining the program indicates a certain motivation, ambition, adaptability and adventurism, which are all good traits for your career development. This experience will also increase my employability and extend my market of potential future projects."
